Seussical Day…What Day Is It Again?
So…yesterday I ordered tiny bouquets for the 6 Marching Band members (NikkiZ’s Who cohorts) for “Tomorrow” which is what I said yesterday. Evidently yesterday I thought “Tomorrow” would be FRIDAY. (Are you confused yet?) But it turns out that today is Thursday and I will now have flowers for tonight and tonight is not Friday so the kids won’t even still be there after the show to hand them out. Because, you see, tonight is actually Thursday... Read More
Seussical: Day 1
I survived yesterday, which was still just a dress rehearsal. I think I’m getting better at makeup but still terrified someone is going to make me paint the circle around the faces of the kids wearing white paint on their face. I can NOT draw a straight line to save my life. And while I know a circle is not a straight line (I learned that studying for my GMAT) it still is a curved line that should NOT HAVE SQUIGGLES. I assure you if someone put the pencil in the hand of... Read More
Weekend Wrapup – Candy Overdose Style

I face BIG fears as I go be a part of the FIRST full dress rehearsal for Seussical at my son’s high school. This is a... Read More
Rough and Tumble
I often write about my daughter’s obsession with princesses and pink and dresses and jewelry. And these things are all very true. But I also often describe her as my, “Rough and Tumble” girl. She is showing quite an athletic streak. We noticed it first in soccer as she discovered the euphoria associated with stealing the ball from someone else. Unfortunately, the “someone else” was often a member of her own team. She is quite determined to be... Read More
