Happy Birthday, Dad.
Dear Dad, Happy Birthday! I’ve forgotten a few of your birthdays over the years, but since you forgot a few of mine too – I harbor no guilt. I think that says something about our relationship. Or about our memories. One of the two. I miss you a lot. But more than how much I miss you, I’ve been surprised by how much pain I feel over what you’re missing. I mean, I miss you, so much it hurts. But, what really causes me the real pain is the sadness I feel... Read More
HoneyDukes Anyone?
Once again I pulled an all-nighter with Wes and his leg cramps. I remember the pain of those things so vividly I am more sympathetic than I usually am when my kids keep me up. See…in theory I’m... Read More
My Friday Gift To You
One of my fave YA books – I Am Number Four – has finally had it’s trailer released online. This movie stars Timothy Olyphant which makes it SO VERY AWESOME. Even if it wasn’t based on an already awesome book. And then? To triple the awesome? Script co-wrote by Marti Noxon a former Buffy The Vampire Slayer writer. ENJOY. There’s one that’s a little longer on their official website. Read More
