Where did the name “Zoot” come from?
My name is Kimberly (you can call me, Kim) and somehow that morphed to Kimbo, Bozoot, Bozie growing up. I think those names are mostly to be blamed on my Mom and brother, but my Dad used them too. Then, after high school a boyfriend of a friend started calling me “Zoot” when he heard my parents called me “Bozoot.” It stuck as an online persona ever since.
How did you and MrZ meet?
We went to school together at the University of North Alabama. We were both in the Professional Geography program. We’re map geeks. It was love at first site. (Yes – that was intentional. It’s a geography joke.)
Why do you keep calling MrZ a first-time Dad? What about LilZ?
MrZ has served the stepfather role for LilZ for quite some time, but he didn’t meet LilZ until he was 5, so this is his first time experiencing most of this “baby” stuff.
What happened to your insert past design name here blog skin – that was my favorite!
I no longer have skins on this site because I got sick of emails telling me that certain entries looked really lame on certain skins. I also got sick of looking at fourteen million templates because when I gave up skins I had TWELVE going at one time. That is WAAAAY too many. I just try to keep the design simple and low on graphics. My dad still uses dial-up and I don’t want him waiting all night for my page to load. (Updated 4/2007 – My Dad now has DSL! But I will keep the site low on graphics anyway because my brother checks it on his Blackberry.) (Updated 1/2011 – I now just keep my design simple because I like it that way. The end.)
Why does your site look weird in insert name of browser that is not Firefox here?
I only care about testing each design on Mozilla Firefox 1.5 the latest version of Firefox. If it doesn’t look right on Internet Explorer? Then stop using Internet Explorer. You will find your life is much better after the switch to Firefox. Any other browsers? I just don’t have the time nor energy to test it on those either. Especially browsers for a Mac – I don’t own a Mac so I can’t test that. Sorry. Feel free to purchase a macbook to give me if you want to help me rectify this. Wow. I obviously haven’t updated THIS page in awhile. I practically ONLY use Macs now. If my site looks funky on a Windows machine? There’s not much I can do about it. Sorry.
Do you really NOT wash your hair??
Not with shampoo. I read somewhere several months before I got married that people with curly hair, ESPECIALLY if it’s really dry too, are better off NOT washing it. I did, however, wash it periodically during the summer I was pregnant with NikkiZ because I just got so STINKY I felt like I should. But I havent washed it since October 26, 2003. I do wet it everyday, and COAT it with conditioner every day, and rinse the conditioner out. But no shampoo. And no, it’s never oily, ask my husband.

Which is better, MT or WordPress?
Movable Type is my first choice because I know it the BEST. But – if I started a blog now? I’d probably use WordPress because they make it easier for the average person to change designs easily. Also – from a designer point of view? I like designing for WordPress sites more than MT sites. Updated: I have switched to WordPress as of 11/2006. I love it.
Do you know your husband is HOTT?

Do you get a lot of assy comments?
Not as many as some people do, but I do get my share. Mostly people like to email me telling me I try too hard to be like Dooce. I personally like her, so I don’t find that insulting.

Y’all can link to me anytime, anywhere you want. I am nothing but a cheap blog whore desperate for hits. HOWEVER, I really can’t promise everyone I’ll link to them. I have not done much to change my links page at all because the one time I deleted some links of sites I don’t visit anymore, I got some nasty emails from people. So, I don’t delete links anymore. Since I don’t delete, I dont really feel like I should add stuff or I’ll end up with a links page nine miles long.
Will You Ever Update This Page With More Relevant Questions Since It’s Like A Million Years Old?
Ask me some questions and I will. I was updating it for my new theme and I do believe these questions are WAAAAY outdated. BUT…I have no idea what other questions would be relevant. Ask me some in the comments of this page (assuming they’re working, I had them turned off on the old theme) and I’ll try to post the answer some time in this decade.
